Interested in my credentials?

I have a B.A is Psychology from UC Santa Barbara

I have a M.S. in Counseling Psychology from California State University East Bay

I have 90+ credits from a PhD program in Counseling Psychology from Washington State University (I dropped out!)

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Washington state

I also bring life experience, research and practice in mindfulness meditation, ecotherapy, sports, skateboarding, and homesteading (yup...I'm talkin' chickens, pigs, goats, organic gardening, permaculture, aquaponics and playing in the dirt with my wife and daughter)

My greatest joy comes from simply being present with my daughter and wife; every excited giggle, new thing learned, and head-first dive into new experiences. My greatest peace comes from spending time in nature, breathing in the beauty, enriching the soil, and growing food. I aim to build up the strengths of others and find what is true and good in life and people.

My wife and I are dedicated to leaving ourselves, the earth, and others more enriched and connected than we found it. Oh, and also building a tiny home to have farmstay guests experience the health and vitality that comes from our hands in the soil and our hearts and minds open.

- Open-Minded- Non-Judgmental- Respectful- Attentive- Focused-

I am glad that our paths have crossed online and I hope you'll jump on this opportunity to contact me.

I know many of you out there can make it along on your own and find your way through life's challenges. At the same time, it sure can be a bit easier to find your way on the ol' hiking trail of life with a trusted partner at your side.

Perhaps we can learn some new skills, better understand and accept your experience, change some unhelpful patterns, and get clear on what brings you peace and joy.

I do this work because I know how crucial it is to have a solid connection to someone in order to be our best selves. Like everyone, I have known stress, worry, anxiety, and low mood. I have known anger, greed, and fear. I have known these things and have developed resources and skills and ways of being that cultivate love, contentment, joy, and appreciation, while living in alignment with what is most important to me; hopefully doing well for the world and others.

I do this counseling stuff because every day I get to "get real" with people, set aside the BS in order to find the unique solutions to your challenges and reaching your purpose.

I pride myself on truly setting judgment aside and celebrating people for who they are. I find a strength in easily connecting with people from all walks of life.

So, even though I dance to punk rock music with my daughter in the mornings to "get going" and take adventure walks on the beach to cultivate calm; I am ready to work with you to find your unique ways of getting through the tough stuff with strength and compassion, while pursuing what is most important to you.
